Eastern Catholics begin Lenten journey, welcome bishop to Charlotte

Members of St. Basil Eastern Catholic Church in Charlotte, N.C., welcomed their bishop, Bishop Bohdan Danylo of the Eparchy of Parma, Ohio, March 3, 2019. Bishop Bohdan celebrated Divine Liturgy for the Sunday of Forgiveness, preparing the faithful for Great Lent. Also at the Mass was Bishop Peter Jugis of the Diocese of Charlotte, in whose diocese St. Basil has grown and flourished with his support and the support of local Catholics of both Western and Eastern traditions.
